Last week we had the opportunity to participate in the Estonian-United Arab Emirates workshop held at the e-Estonian Presentation Center and to introduce the Sille.Space Early Warning System to the representatives of The United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA). UAE Space Agency participated in the business delegation of the International Meeting of Estonian Friends (EFIM), the patrons of which are former Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and tech entrepreneurs Ott Kaukver and Sten Tamkivi.
This year's international gathering of Estonian friends was already the 9th in a row. The idea of the event is to thank business, political and cultural figures whose activities and advice have contributed to the development of the Estonian state. This year’s meeting focused on the future of the digital domain. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Enterprise Estonia, and the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
Datel's Early Warning Service SILLE.Space, based on EU satellite data, can detect displacement or subsidence of large infrastructures with an accuracy of up to 1 mm. The service helps prevent accidents due to the breakdown of infrastructure and thus increases the security of society.
