We are proud to announce that the innovative “Transboundary Waters” e-service developed with the Estonian Interior Ministry IT Development Center has won the Estonian National Quality Award 2015 for public services.

The Finnish quality organization Laatukeskus Excellence Finland began this popular award program to recognize and introduce high quality public initiatives. International participants must be category winners in their country.

This mobile app allows customers to register their presence on transboundary (National border) waters using their mobile phone. This important and simple application enables users to register their use of these areas leading to improved accuracy of search and rescue capabilities in bad weather conditions where accidents may increase. Recreational and commercial use of Estonia's waterways is now even safer.
